I am Jon Goings, a Manitoba-based photographer specializing in landscapes and events.
My journey began when I joined the Universal Life Church, whose slogan is "we are all children of the same universe." Bittersweetly, my photos were featured in the now-defunct, all-positive publication Lionface: The Sentient, which strived to "help people know better, feel better, and live better." This is my desire for you as well.
I then studied Sociology and Communications at Providence University College in the small town of Otterburne, to better grasp the interwoven relationship of media and society. Lastly, I studied Visio Divina at St Benedict's Table, a contemplative path to receive holy moments from God; to see God in balancing light and shadow with the eyes of the heart.
Join me here as pensive observers drowning in melancholic whimsy.
